Toshio Meronek is a writer focusing on politics, disability, LGBT/queer issues, and prisons. His work has appeared in Dwell, Huffington Post, Hyphen, In These Times, SF Weekly, and Truthout.

Previously, Toshio served as editor for The Abolitionist (the newspaper of the anti-prison industrial complex organization Critical Resistance), Healthy Waters (a journal for conservation educators published by the Freshwater Trust), and Where's Lulu (a blog covering disability and pop culture). He has spoken about his work with HuffPost Live, Bitch magazine, KBOO Radio, and at schools and community spaces across North America.
